Our 12' high Heavy Duty Tripod swings feature 3 legs on each end for added stability and strength. Each Swing Set is sold complete with molded rubber swing seats and hot dipped galvanized chains. Available in 1 Bay, 2 Bay, 3 Bay and 4 Bay configurations; each is commercial grade designed for Schools, Playgrounds, Parks and Recreational Areas. Assembly is required for these swings and they must be installed in the ground using concrete footings.
All Legs are made from 13 Gauge steel tubing, 2-3/8" in diameter that have been triple zinc coated for a smooth shiny uniform appearance and a 25% greater resistance to corrosion compared to standard galvanized pipe. The top rail is 8 gauge 3 1⁄2” O.D.
The fittings seen on the end and center are made from thick 7 gauge 2-7/8" powder coated tubing designed for both strength and good looks.
Heavy Duty Hangers (optional) shall be galvanized ductile iron with oil impregnated bronze bearings.
The included cut resistant Swing Seats are made of molded rubber; each with a steel plate insert. Seats measure 6" wide x 31.5" long x .25" thick.
Seats are supported by the included hot dipped galvanized 4/0 chain link with a working load limit of 670 pounds.
The included swing hangars are made from stamped steel with bronze bearings for a smooth swinging action.
Three Bay Swing Sets: Include 6 seats and weigh 645 pounds and have a Use zone of 48' x 55'.
Our Modern Tripod Swings are manufactured by SportsPlay and meet the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) playground safety guidelines, the ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) playground safety standards and have been certified by IPEMA (International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association). The manufacturer recommends that resilient safety surfacing that meets standard ASTM F1292 be placed under and around the structure and extend throughout the entire use zone.
