Our 8' high Modern Bipod swings are sold complete with molded rubber swing seats and hot dipped galvanized chains. Available in one Bay, two Bay, three Bay and 4 Bay configurations; each is commercial grade designed for Schools, Playgrounds, Parks and Recreational Areas. These swings must be installed in the ground using concrete footings.
Legs and top rail are made from 13 Gauge steel tubing, 2-3/8" in diameter that have been triple zinc coated for a smooth shiny uniform appearance and a 25% greater resistance to corrosion compared to standard galvanized pipe.
The fittings seen on the end and center are made from thick 7 gauge 2-7/8" powder coated tubing designed for both strength and good looks.
The included cut resistant Swing Seats are made of molded rubber; each with a steel plate insert. Seats measure 6" wide x 31.5" long x .25" thick.
Seats are supported by the included hot dipped galvanized 4/0 chain link with a working load limit of 670 pounds.
The included swing hangars are made from stamped steel with bronze bearings for a smooth swinging action.
One Bay Swing Sets: Include 2 seats and weigh 146 pounds and have a Use zone of 32' x 27'.
Two Bay Swing Sets: Include 4 seats and weigh 390 pounds and have a Use zone of 32' x 38'.
Three Bay Swing Sets: Include 6 seats and weigh 480 pounds and have a Use zone of 32' x 49'.
Four Bay Swing Sets: Include 8 seats and weigh 575 pounds and have a Use zone of 32' x 60'.
Our Modern Bipod Swings are manufactured by SportsPlay and meet the CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission) playground safety guidelines, the ASTM (American Society of Testing Materials) playground safety standards and have been certified by IPEMA (International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association). The manufacturer recommends that resilient safety surfacing that meets standard ASTM F1292 be placed under and around the structure and extend throughout the entire use zone.
